The purpose of the site, was to help small, minority- and women-owned businesses (M/WBEs) close the “digital divide” by providing them with free and information-rich tutorials on how to develop an effective presence on the Internet. Since that time, the Web site and company have evolved. The focus is now on the next level, i.e., helping M/WBE firms become strategic suppliers to corporations and government agencies.
